Constitution

The affairs of the Club shall be managed by a committee of eight members consisting of a President, Vice-President, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer, and four other members, all of whom shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting in accordance with the Club’s rules.  The committee shall have power to co-opt any member of the Club to fill a vacancy arising during the course of the year through resignation, or other reason, of a current committee member.  Four members of the committee shall constitute a quorum.  The AGM of the Club shall take place in October and nominations for President, Other Officers and members of the committee shall be received at least eight days prior to the AGM.  Nominations must have the consent of the nominee.  Each member of the committee shall be eligible for re-election at the AGM with the exception of the President who shall not be re-elected into that position immediately after three consecutive years.  The new committee will take office at the end of the AGM.  A retiring President may become an ex-officio member of the committee following her retirement.
